Western Bahr el Ghazal dominates 2025 Primary Examination top spots

JUBA, South Sudan (Eye Radio) — The Ministry of General Education and Instruction released the 2025 Certificate of Primary Education (CPE) results this afternoon in Juba. The announcement follows the administration of examinations to candidates nationwide in November last year. Alel-Chok Complex Primary School in Western Bahr el Ghazal State secured the highest positions in the national rankings. Adhel Mabior Madut and Awien Biet Giirwel jointly took the first position with 457 marks each. The second position was shared by Rose Tartizio Fangrazio and Simon Sabir Mario, also from Alel-Chok Complex Primary School, who both scored 456 marks. Parek Koor Wol from the same institution followed in third place with 455 marks. In fourth place, Gatdit Chuol Gai of Mary John Primary School in Unity State scored 454 marks. The fifth position was shared by Jal Gatlit Bapiny from Kuachjok Primary School in Unity State and Dhor Ariik Ring from Mario Muor Vision International Academy in Western Bahr el Ghazal State, both obtaining 453 marks. Three candidates shared the sixth position with 452 marks: Gai Malieth Patai of Liberty Primary School, Derrick Magok Mayom of Venus Star Academy, and Majok Mawut Majok of Precious Academy. The seventh position included eight candidates who each scored 451 marks. This group included Gabriel Nguen Gatjang, Tut Gai Tap, and Liep Gatdor Gatkek from Liberty Primary School in Unity State; Yoah Paul Kuong from Mary John Primary School in Unity State; Leti Lino Raphael from Kingson Primary School in Western Bahr el Ghazal State; Amot Akot Akot from Mario Muor Vision International Academy; Majook Malou Makoor from Alel-Chok Complex Primary School; and Yach Elijah Thon from Wise Dove Academy in Jonglei State. The eighth position was shared by twelve candidates who each scored 450 marks. These pupils represented schools including Thoare Gatkuer Primary, Akatgol Nursery and Primary, St. Lawrence Academy-ALP, Modern Academy, Naath Primary, Leer Primary, and Liberty Primary School. The results highlight a concentration of top-performing candidates in Western Bahr el Ghazal and Unity State, with Central Equatoria and Jonglei also represented in the top ten rankings.
