Médecins Sans Frontières in South Sudan says it is scaling up medical and humanitarian assistance for displaced communities in Chuil, Jonglei State, and Ulang County in Upper Nile State. According to MSF, health services in Chuil have been expanded, with the healthcare centre upgraded to a 60-bed facility providing emergency care, malnutrition treatment, maternal health services, and trauma stabilization. MSF teams are also conducting mobile clinics by boat to reach remote areas including Yakuach, Tanakuacha, and Pathiel. The organization further reports that it has distributed essential relief items—such as mosquito nets, blankets, soap, jerry cans, sanitary pads, plastic sheeting, and sandbags—to more than 1,500 families facing difficult living conditions. MSF adds that additional distributions are planned, with transport of relief supplies supported by the South Sudan Logistics Cluster.
