JUBA, South Sudan (Eye Radio) – The Governor of Central Equatoria State and Chairperson of the SPLM State Branch, Hon. Emmanuel Adil Anthony, has unveiled a strategic four-pillar roadmap aimed at securing a decisive win in the upcoming December 2026 general elections. Addressing party delegates at the Expanded meeting in Juba on Thursday, March 12, Governor Adil emphasized that the party must transition into a high state of readiness to navigate what he described as a “critical moment in the democratic journey of our country.” The Governor, who has been in office for approximately three months, detailed the specific objectives that will guide party activities across Central Equatoria: Mass Mobilization: Highlighting mobilization as the “backbone” of the movement, the Governor directed party structures at the county, payam, and boma levels to reach every village. The goal, he stated, is to ensure citizens understand the SPLM vision and its achievements. Membership Recruitment: Governor Adil called for an “open door” policy to bring more youth, women, and believers in the party’s principles into the fold, asserting that the party’s strength lies in its numbers. Capacity Building: The roadmap prioritizes the training of party cadres. “A strong party is built on knowledgeable and disciplined members who understand the ideology, values, and policies of the SPLM,” the Governor noted. Resource Mobilization: To sustain party programs and election preparations, the Governor called on supporters to contribute toward building a “self-reliant and effective party structure.” The meeting, held under the theme “Together in Solidarity, We Move SPLM Party Forward in Central Equatoria State,” served as a rallying cry for internal unity. Governor Adil maintained that while the party faces challenges, solidarity is the only path to continued leadership. “Unity within the party will be key to our victory,” Governor Adil told the delegates. “When we work together in solidarity... we will not only win the election, but we will continue to lead our country towards stability and development.” The Governor reminded the gathered veterans, youth, and women’s leagues that the SPLM was built on a foundation of sacrifice and resilience. He concluded by urging all members to consolidate these historical gains to shape the destiny of the nation. “I am confident that the SPLM in Central Equatoria will continue to play a leading role in shaping the destiny of our great nation,” he affirmed.
